clinical research across Australia and New Zealand

Mission Statement

Working in partnership to create the knowledge required to eliminate TB in Australia, New Zealand and beyond.


ACTnet is a network that aims to promote basic science, clinical and public health research into TB in Australia and New Zealand.

  1. To improve the standard of knowledge in the field, by fostering local experience and propagating relevant scientific and other findings;

  2. To promote research findings and propagate them within vocational training and further education, including through conferences and publications

  3. To support research and pilot projects that contribute to improving knowledge regarding TB and its control

  4. To promote collaboration between individuals and institutions regarding TB research, including applications for competitive research funding.
